Participation is not permitted.

・ Due to ferry schedules, day-trip guests from Taketomi or Kohama Island cannot join our full-day course.

Restrictions

Participants must be between elementary school age and 65 years old.
Young elementary school children and guests aged 55–65 will require a fitness check.
If less than 2 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.

■Winter Season (Mid-October to Late March)

●Upper Body
Wear a long-sleeve rash guard or HeatTech as a base layer, with a lightweight T-shirt on top. Bring nylon outerwear or rainwear for warmth.

●Lower Body
Wear long leggings or HeatTech under half-pants or swimwear for mobility and warmth. Lightweight outdoor pants are also recommended. ^[A]
■Summer Season (April to Mid-October)

●Upper Body
Wear a long-sleeve rash guard or quick-drying sportswear as a base layer, with a short-sleeve T-shirt on top. Alternatively, a lightweight long-sleeve T-shirt alone is fine.

●Lower Body
Wear long leggings or spats under half-pants or swimwear. Alternatively, lightweight, quick-drying outdoor pants are recommended. ^[A]
Please wear swimwear as your lower body may get wet for various reasons, such as walking in the river or rain. Thick clothing, such as jeans, chinos, or sweatpants, is unsuitable throughout the year, so please avoid wearing them as much as possible. ^[A]
There are no toilets in the field, so having tissues and a trash bag will give you peace of mind. ^[A]
●Upper Body
Wear a long-sleeve rash guard, Under Armour, or HeatTech as a base layer, with a lightweight short-sleeve or long-sleeve T-shirt on top. From November to March, prepare nylon outerwear or rainwear for cold weather protection. ^[B]
●Lower Body
Wear long leggings, spats, or HeatTech as a base layer, followed by half-pants or swimwear for better mobility and warmth. Alternatively, lightweight, flexible outdoor long pants are recommended. ^[B]

Personal belongings are not covered by insurance.
*While waterproof bags are provided, please take full responsibility to prevent submersion or loss.
In case of rain, the tour may be canceled or changed to a half-day tour. Please note that changes may also occur due to weather conditions from the previous day.
We strive to contact you by 8:00 PM the day before. If you do not hear from us, please kindly reach out to us directly.
For those with limited time, we recommend the half-day tour. ^[A]

Kukaze staff will pick you up at your accommodation (available for the Toyohara to Urauchi area). Pickup times vary by location and will be confirmed the day before. After the tour, we will drop you off at your accommodation or the port on Iriomote Island.
*Pickup is not available for the Shirahama, Kanpira, and Sonai areas. Guests staying in these areas must meet and depart at Uehara Port. Please use a ferry company bus, local bus, or rental car to reach Uehara Port.

◎ Uehara Port: Around 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM
◎ Ohara area:

If you have time or are unsure between the "full-day tour" and "half-day tour," we recommend the full-day tour. ^[B]
〇 Post-Tour Transportation
・For guests staying on Iriomote Island
Guests staying near Uehara Port will be dropped off by our staff after the tour.
For those staying near Ohara Port, if there is an afternoon tour, we can only drop you off at Uehara Port. From there, please use public buses or other transportation to return to your accommodation. ^[B]
・For guests staying on Ishigaki Island
After the tour, we will drop you off at Uehara Port.
If the Uehara route is operating, there’s no issue. However, if it’s canceled, you’ll need to take the ferry company’s shuttle bus to Ohara Port for your ferry.
If we don’t have an afternoon tour, we may be able to take you to Ohara Port directly. ^[B]

Amazing! Great tour guides

Such a fun day! Tour guides were especially great, knowledgeable about the ecosystem we were hiking through, kind, and friendly. Got to see a great view, have a good meal, and swim in the watering hole. Photos throughout the trip was a plus too.
