Preschool children may join free of charge but will be counted toward the vehicle capacity.
Participation restrictions for dolphin watching cruise
Depending on sea conditions, pregnant guests, elderly guests, young children, or those who are not feeling well may be asked to refrain from participating.

What to bring

If you wish to enjoy the hot spring after lunch, please bring your own towel.
What to bring for dolphin watching
If you are concerned about seasickness, please take motion sickness medication before boarding.
In summer, please bring sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a towel. In winter, please wear warm clothing such as a down jacket, knit hat, gloves, scarf, and earmuffs.

Other requirements

You may enjoy the hot spring after lunch, but please be sure to return by the designated departure time.
The My chopsticks making experience involves the use of sandpaper and branding irons. Please take care to avoid getting dust in your eyes or inhaling particles, and be cautious to prevent burns or other injuries.
Important notes for dolphin watching cruise

Guest registration is required before boarding. Please provide your full name, age, and passport number for foreign nationals only in advance.

Life jackets must be worn at all times while on board.

The cruise will operate in rainy weather as long as sea conditions are safe and waves are not high.

If sea conditions change suddenly, the cruise may be canceled for safety reasons even just before departure.
If the cruise is canceled, the program will be changed to the My chopsticks making experience or an alternative sightseeing plan in Unzen. No refund will be provided for the dolphin watching portion.

As dolphins are wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed and may not occur on rare occasions.

Additional notes

The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
If you wish to extend the tour on the day, an additional fee will apply per 30 minutes: JPY 2,630 per vehicle for a standard taxi and JPY 3,880 per vehicle for a large taxi, payable on site.
If the Alphard is unavailable, a jumbo taxi will be arranged even for a single passenger.
To protect the marine ecosystem, feeding the dolphins is not conducted. Guests can enjoy observing dolphins in their natural state.
Enjoy panoramic views of Tachibana Bay from Chijiwa Observatory, selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Scenic Spots. The observatory’s famous local snack “Jagachan” is also highly recommended.
Please note that Jagachan is not included in the tour price.
