What to expect

Visit one of Japan's famous owl cafes while in Tokyo! Located near Harajuku Station, you can take pictures with cute owls while they perch on your arm. Experience a real animal cafe!

The staff will introduce you to various owls of all sizes! They can perch on your arm or you can pet them and take pictures. Please be sure to turn the flash off when taking photos, and have fun making new feathery friends!

Instructions and Cafe' Time
After you check-in, the staff will show you to your seat and will explain the house rules. Then you can choose your desired drink from the menu, and take a short break in the cafe'.
Owl Time!
Assisted by the cafe' staff, you can pet and hold the cute owls! Take as many pictures as you like (just please do not use flash) and relax in the cafe' space!

The cafe' is just a 1-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station's Takeshita Exit.

Restrictions

Children 1 years old and above can participate in this activity.
Elementary and junior high school students are required to be accompanied by a guardian. (Admission fee is also required for the accompanying person.)
We provide explanations in English and can assist you with simple English conversation.

What to bring

Owls cannot be toilet trained. There is a possibility that their droppings may soil clothing, so we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that can get dirty. We provide capes and slippers at our store. Please let us know if you would like to use them.

Additional notes

Owls may panic if stimulated by loud voices or sudden movements. When petting an owl, please show your finger to the owl beforehand and gently stroke its head.
Please turn off or mute your phone and electrical devices.
Flash photography is forbidden.
The cafe' is non-smoking.
If you would like to hold an owl, please inform the staff. Please be careful not to hold the owl with bare hands; we provide special gloves for this purpose.
For hygiene reasons, our store separates the dining area from the owl area. Please refrain from bringing food and drinks into the owl area.

Great Owl Experience!!

It's my second time to go to an owl cafe.
The cafe is pretty near the JR harajyuku station. It is small but lovely.
And the staffs are friendly, too. They can also speak a little English and they provide English instructions to read, so there's no need to worry!
Off course the owls are so lovely! We all had a great time with these cute owls.
And I would love to take my other friends to visit them again!

This was my first time went to an owl cafe in Japan, the shop was a bit small but very very cozy. We spent nearly one hour with those cute owls, most of them were very social and let us touch them, we even put them on our hand or shoulder. I took my two daughters, ages 12 and 13 to the owl cafe this afternoon. We had an excellent time.

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated at a traditional Japanese table with floor cushions. There were colouring materials and reading materials for our use.

We were served our choice of drinks that were included. They advised us of our entry time into the owl room, which was about 15 minutes after our arrival. This gave us time to drink tea, and familiarize ourselves with all of the ow… I took my two daughters, ages 12 and 13 to the owl cafe this afternoon. We had an excellent time.

We were encouraged to take pictures and assisted to set up our shots so they turned out well. We were helped to hold as many of the owls as we wished. We stayed inside the room until we felt that we were finished, then returned to our table to chat. We did not feel rushed at all. Before leaving, one of the staff gave us some beautiful fans with pictures of the owls on them.

It was a really fabulous experience! The owls were all friendly, as were the staff. I would highly recommend it, even for those who do not particularly like birds, like myself. I found it to be a very lovely and moving experience. Do try it!

This owl cafe is nicely located, though a little hard to find since it's up a staircase off a side street. The waiting area with beverages was welcoming, and the staff were friendly. The area with the owls was brightly lit, and because of the windows it felt like a nice location for the owls to live. A great experience overall.

The cafe was a little hard to find (it was raining the day we went) but, once there it was amazing!!!!! The owls are so CUTE and very chill. (I think they are used to people by now). Chai was my fav only because he was the chillest and, during the petting demonstration/owl introduction, he looked the happiest to be getting pets. Would definitely do again.

I booked this activity for my first full day in Toyko. It was easy to find even though I wasn't used to navigating Tokyo yet and very close to the Harajuku Station. The experience was amazing. You could tell that the staff loves the owls and is very invested in their well being.
