When the road to Mount Fuji 5th Station is closed due to snow or other reasons, the tour will go to the highest point possible.
Should there be changes in itineary due to weather, traffic or other operation conditions, the tour will not be cancelled or refunded.
If Mt.Fuji and others sightseeing spots are not visible due to weather conditions, the tour will not be canceled or refunded.
In the event of poor weather conditions, refunds will be issued should the tour provider cancel the tour. Rebooking the tour on a different date will also be free of charge. Refunds will not be issued, however, should guests cancel on their end prior to any tour cancellation announcement from the operator.
Mandarin Oriental and New Sanno: pick-up services are only available for hotel guests.
The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.

For those taking the bullet train (shinkansen), the tour guide will not accompany you back to Tokyo. They will provide instructions of how to return to your hotel from Tokyo Station before you board the train.

Not worth the money.

The entire tour was rushed not sure why as we couldn't do the ropeway, so you would think we would have had extra time. They added a box to the website showing that it was closed after my group had already booked the tour. We took a cruise through the fog, and it was not on the cool pirate boat described and pictured. The cruise was a waste as well because you couldn't see anything. We also went to the museum which is supposed to provide a great view of Fuji but again we couldn't see anything.… The entire tour was rushed not sure why as we couldn't do the ropeway, so you would think we would have had extra time. I realize the weather is out of the control of the tour oppotators, however, we can’t be the first tour that experienced bad weather. And it was clear they had no “Plan B” for when that happened and both Kakone and the cruise were cancelled. Likewise, I know I signed that there would be no refund, but what happened to the tickets for the above activities that we didn’t do?
I’m sure this would be a great experience on a sunny day.

The weather is no one's fault and staff did their best, but the dense fog made seeing anything impossible. We toured area around Mt. Fugi in the fog. The fifth viewing station was closed. We were warned in reservation materials that we might not see the mountain but we didn't expect to be fogged out of every other attraction ( boat ride, lift ) as well. We did see some interesting countryside and a few villages. We also saw a bit of Tokyo as we circled around to pick up other participants a… The weather is no one's fault and staff did their best, but the dense fog made seeing anything impossible. We were picked up from a nearby hotel to our own hotel. we were picked up with a bus which goes to our actual transport bus. There were around 3 or four busses which were to same direction to mount FUJI all together 100 people only from the same company which is GRAY LINE.
First stop was mount Fuji 4th station. (We were told that 5th station was closed due to weather conditions, which is OK) however the problem was to enter 4th station it took 40 minutes, as I believe there were many other tours… We were picked up from a nearby hotel to our own hotel. we were picked up with a bus which goes to our actual transport bus. Super crowded, people were on top of each other to take pictures of Fuji view. The queue in front of the toilet was long impossible to use.
Indeed we were only given 20 minutes in the area.
By the time you get off and on the bus is already a lot of time passed.
After that next station was lunch break, it was given only 30 minutes, which I am glad we requested no lunch as well.
When we goy on the boat on lake Ashi, there was no place to sit down, boat was overcrowded obviously we stood indoors.
Overall I wanted to see mount FUJI close by which was done.
But it was rushed and very crowded. Tour guide was robotic overall no enthusiasm.
If you are OK with such tight schedule and dont mind being rushed everywhere it is alright.
I believe these kind of tours have a limited quota and not oversold just for money.
End of the day it was over 100 dollars per person still with no lunch.
You might better do the tour by yourself or pay more and find a private kinda tour.

If you go on this tour, please take into account the weather forecast. The morning we left from Tokyo, it was pouring rain. The rest of the day was also covered in grey clouds, rain and fog. We therefore did not see Mt. Fuji at all. Not even a glimpse unfortunately. Although we did go up the cable car, we could not see more than like 30 meters ahead due to the fog.
Although the weather forecast is unpredictable, and the organization is of course not to blame for bad weather (humans can unfortuna… If you go on this tour, please take into account the weather forecast. Great tour guide and bus drivers but very poorly organized your

I want emphasize that our tour guide and bus drivers were great! They were sweet and kind and really made sure the tour was kept organized. However, the actual tour was incredibly expensive for no reason! The only picture I was able to get of Mt. Fuji was on the bus! Now I understand that Fuji is very easily covered by clouds and the mountain can be seen once the clouds move. What I did not appreciate was that we were not able to go to the 5th station because of over crowding? How is that our pr… I want emphasize that our tour guide and bus drivers were great! Disappointed tour

Tour was not well organized. We were scheduled to be picked up at Royal Park hotel, then bus didn’t come there. One tour staff member came and got cabs for us to go to the other hotel where the bus parked there. The tour guide lady told us that tour was full that day and there were only 3 seats left for us but not together! Why they couldn’t assign seat number? Some activities were canceled.

Skipped the trip of Owakudani .. my parents from India visited japan and they were very interested of Owakudani, but it was skipped and disappointed a lot. I had used same package trip myself and find satisfaction, but this experience with veltra was very poor and I doesn’t recommend or use it again

This tour is spent mainly on the bus. The stops are not more than 30 mins. The lunch place was awful with no atmosphere. Due to mist the cable car and boat trip was a waste of time.

Pick up was efficient but the time was an hour later than that advertised in the literature, Mount Fuji was great, lunch was fine then it rapidly deteriorated. The post lunch itinerary was changed due to volcanic activity at the advertised ropeway. The lake cruise was forgettable, it was overcast and wind, it was very poorly supervised by the guide who gave garbled instructions that we couldn’t understand The ropeway was left to last by which time it was getting dark and the wind was getting up… Pick up was efficient but the time was an hour later than that advertised in the literature, Mount Fuji was great, lunch was fine then it rapidly deteriorated. The post lunch itinerary was changed due to volcanic activity at the advertised ropeway. The lake cruise was forgettable, it was overcast and wind, it was very poorly supervised by the guide who gave garbled instructions that we couldn’t understand The ropeway was left to last by which time it was getting dark and the wind was getting up so we gave it a miss and poodles around for an hour in the souvenir stalls.

The return was chaotic we wasted ages dropping off people returning to Tokyo by train then it was a crawl even though the congestion wasn’t bad. It took more than 3 hours to cover the 70 km from the ropeway to our hotel

There is very little time on this tour at the actual attractions, we had less than 25 mins at Fuji 5th station the highlight of the tour, less if you include the walk to find the bus afterwards.
Lunch at a hotel takes up valuable time on the tour and the food is definitely not worth the cost, is pre-laid out ready so is therefore cold when we arrived (western menu soup, fries, chicken).

Heavy traffic due to a long public holiday delayed the tour by a couple of hours, of course traffic cannot be predicted but on a public holiday weekend it’s almost a guarantee. The tour should have departed early for example on this particular day to allow time at the attractions.
Due to Volcanic activity for the past few months there are some changes to the tour – we were offered that we could cancel once on the bus at the start of the tour – again this could have been pre-advised via email. There is a clause in the fine print that attractions may change – but again this volcanic activity is a pre-understood change to the schedule. Not something that arose on the day itself. So no Hakone Sky Gondola and no Owakudani Valley stop.
Our guide Hitomi was excellent, very organized and knowledgeable and really made the tour – even with the challenges of time a success.
Tip 1 - I would advise getting yourself to the starting point of the tour, we had 1 hour 15 mins wait from the pick-up point which would have been a quick taxi from our hotel.
Tip 2 – Definitely take the bullet train return taking 2 hours off the travel time.
Tip 3 – Order a la carte from the hotel not pre-set as this will be cold and is very expensive and poor quality.

It was raining and traffic was bad during our visit. We did not see Mt. Fuji and we had to skip the cable car ride. I think we should have skipped the 5th station so we could've taken the cable instead. Although the food was delicious, I had hoped the food they prepared for us was Japanese and not Western food. Make sure to check the weather before booking this trip.

Definitely go to this tour when it is a nice sunny day! We went when it was foggy and cloudy so we did not see Mount Fuji at all. The lunch menu isnt that great as the tour brings you to one hotel restaurant. Average price per meal was at least 12,000 YEN. I would suggest to eat at the first pit stop restaurant that is attached to the convenient store. Me and my BF had a ramen bowl that was pretty good for only 500 YEN! We also ate at another restaurant at the Mount Fuji pit stop. That ramen bow… Definitely go to this tour when it is a nice sunny day! We went when it was foggy and cloudy so we did not see Mount Fuji at all. The lunch menu isnt that great as the tour brings you to one hotel restaurant. Average price per meal was at least 12,000 YEN. I would suggest to eat at the first pit stop restaurant that is attached to the convenient store. Me and my BF had a ramen bowl that was pretty good for only 500 YEN! We also ate at another restaurant at the Mount Fuji pit stop. That ramen bowl was pretty descent as well! About 700 YEN. Also when the tour is over, I would highly suggest riding the bullet train back since it only takes about 30-40 minutes to get back to Tokyo compared to the bus ride that takes about 2 and half hours. Overall, the tour was okay and I was disappointed that we did not see Mount Fuji and this tour lasted 8+ hours.

Unfortunately with the traffic, touring by Coach was not a good idea as we spent most our time travelling. May be going by bullet train and meet at the station would have been better, Drivers and guide were very nice.

I have always wanted to see Mt. Fuji and this day tour did not disappoint on the visit. I enjoyed seeing the countryside and also the very impressive Bullet Train on the ride back to Tokyo.
I would skip at all costs the included lunch. It had been sitting out all prepared for some time when we arrived at the restaurant. The fried food was cold and the other parts of the meal were tasteless. It was not worth the money. My advice is pack a sack lunch and eat it outside where the view is pretty. Al… I have always wanted to see Mt. Fuji and this day tour did not disappoint on the visit. I enjoyed seeing the countryside and also the very impressive Bullet Train on the ride back to Tokyo.

Fuji and experienced the Bullet Train. I could have passed on the lunch and the cruise. My two companions were of the same opinion. One last comment, I felt rushed on this trip as we just made the last cable car ride and there was also a good deal of commotion getting everyone settled at the station where we caught the Bullet Train.

The day was long, as were the gaps between the activities. I was finished at each location in about half the time, and had to meander for the remaining time. Then, having to drive for an hour to the next activity was quite boring.

Lovely guide, but disappointing tour overall

Our family had the disadvantage of traveling in from Tokyo Bay, so our travel either side of this tour was already extended, and that could not be helped by the tour company. However our pick-up was late from the hotel that we had arrived at just before the scheduled pick-up time that had required us to wake our sleeping children which was rather frustrating. It was also raining and cold. We waited for the bus and then travelled about 10 minutes to waste more time transferring to another bus.

… Our family had the disadvantage of traveling in from Tokyo Bay, so our travel either side of this tour was already extended, and that could not be helped by the tour company. However our pick-up was late from the hotel that we had arrived at just before the scheduled pick-up time that had required us to wake our sleeping children which was rather frustrating. It was also raining and cold. We waited for the bus and then travelled about 10 minutes to waste more time transferring to another bus.

The tour company cannot be held accountable for the weather, but the gondolas were not running, the highest viewpoint we could access was No. 2 and for most of the day Mount Fuji was not visible. Our tour guide was lovely and informative and provided lots of information about points of interest other than those listed on the itinerary. The tour company chose a shrine to visit instead of riding the gondolas which was enjoyable.

The lunch was average, the hot pot was nice but the tempura was stone cold when we arrived.

The stopping points felt rushed and most of the day was spent on the bus. We opted for the bus ride home seeing as we were a family of 5 and our rail passes had expired the previous day. Once passengers transferring to the bullet train had been escorted to the station, our bus waited (or wasted) a considerable amount of time waiting for another bus to join us before beginning the long trip home.

Considering we were the last drop off and had to commute back to our hotel after drop off at the designated hotel, all of the delays and waiting around to transfer and join with other tour groups made the day feel wasted. We definitely regret choosing this activity for our last day in Japan.
